use of storm suspend dots & weedless treble hooks

Question from Getlinewet....


I do have a question for those trolling artificials: has anyone tried using the storm suspend dots to push the baits deeper? Also, because of the SML structure, I bought a bunch of the ?Matsua? weedless treble hooks and replaced my regular trebles with them. Seems to help avoid snags, but not sure how the fish will react.

Never used trebles but use barbless hooks for small mouth fishing on the St Lawrence river never really a problem keeping them on
