Last weekend they did not show till around 11 pm but it was easy then - you won't have to go far I don't think.... Thought we are starting to get to the time of year when it gets tougher and tougher up the Roanoke.

I know as of the past couple mornings at 4am. Theres millions of 1/2-2inch alewives to every dozen nice size alewives. You just have to toss a few times more. Or if you have my luck. You have 6 other guys around the light throwing 3ft nets or cant get there net to open...
The fools i really like are the ones that get mad as hell when you come into the light there at thinking they own it, which they dont. Getting all bent out of shape when I toss. You hear them whisper to there mates "Its a big damn lake aint it" or "he just came right up on top of us didnt he"...... well i didnt tell you to tie up to the dock that you dont own with 3 other fools in boats so you can throw and throw and throw your 4ft walmart net and wonder why you cant get bait in 35ft of water.... Im in and out, thats how i like it.... magic man
Sorry, had this happen past couple mornings

They think they own the water. If you have a light for bait expext to have visitors. Only i could get a dumbass to pull a shotgun on me for catching bait.

Yea never did understand why people think that that they own the water. I dont know how many times I have gotten the "look" or yelled at for fishing around docks and boat houses.

I quit putting my light out after I was returning to my slip one night and a bass boat was fishing the light. I was pretty courteous and let them fish it for a few minutes without pulling up into my slip but after five minutes went by and they hadn't moved, I said heck with it, I'm putting the boat up. As I approached in what I thought was a respectful manner, heard one guy say, "Does he not see us fishing here, what an ass." As soon as I put the boat up, them still fishing the dock, one hung his lure up on a rope tied to the dock and took 15minutes to get it off complaining the whole time. I just df on't like giving people an excuse to hang around the dock and "peer" in my boat. I've got my two or three bait lights right near the house that are money yearround anyways.
