I decided after a loooong day at work a little fishing therapy was needed and hit the lake around 6:30 p.m. Not sure what the AT was but the WT was 75.1* . I dropped a u-rig in and was trolling about 22fow at around 2.8 to 3 mph. Caught my first fish in about five minutes, a FAT 25" fish. Looked like a football. Marked several fish in 40-50fow and picked off a few more smaller fish. Went up river to try and find something a little more substantial. Never found them though. Caught one more fish right at dark that was about 27". I decided to call it a day and pack up. Was tending to mother natures call and looked over at the FF and had a huge school of fish under the boat in about 10-15fow. Grabbed my casting rod with a Rapala X-Rap and casted where I thought they were at. They were there for sure. Caught 7 or 8 fish in about as many casts. Not real big fish but fun. Then they were gone. I scouted around for about a hour looking for more action and never found what I was looking for. Called it a night.

That is why you keep the lures rigged any time of the year, you never know when you will find a school eating, or chasing bait up on a point. Great report, any day on the water is good and when the fish cooperate its priceless.

Thanks for the report. By the way, do you have any pics? I sure would like to see the sunset over the mountains/marina/or point. I am coming up tonight and sure would like to see that same sunset.

A few pictures of the sunset would be great, I could look at them at work and really enjoy them and the lovely view and the shadows on the shoreline showing up in the picture. It would be just like me being down there.

I know where the fish are breaking this very second as I sit here not fishing. It's a sickening feeling. I don't want to see any pictures. Head south to the mouth.

Nice pictures, you have a good eye for them. I love to look at pictures like these taken in the slow times when you are not catching fish.
