fished wensday night from state park down to the eagles roost, water was 77 degreese and cloudy. had a limit throwing a pop-r around the mainlake points before dark. casting a thunder stick and a shallow running crank bait parrellel with the bank seemed to be the best bite, although my buddy did catch five on a black shakehead worm. we ended catching 26 fish for the night 11 stripper and 15 bass, best five went about 14lbs, biggeststripper 8lbs.heavy rain came little after four and put us back in the truck.

Anyone know what the lake looks like right now as far as clarity with all this rain? Is there anywhere where the water is or will be clear tomorrow?

Looks like a blast!
The lower lake should be clear. Anywhere below the bridge on the main lake should be relatively clear.

River was a little stained, most of the mud will come out of Linville.

Got out and fished the tourney sat night and caught 15.2 or so lbs. And when it was time to get back to the Marina for weigh in tha damn motor wouldn't start.. I would have finished 2nd first was 16 something...... anyway the water was wierdly. Clear as. Drinking water in a lot of the lake which caught me off guard die to all the rain we've had...but its at full pond and I was catching them off a very light weight umbrella rig with 10 hooks I created with small swim flukes on it.. I run it down the banks and points and it does really well!! I actually saw a bass under a lighted dock at about 3am. That bout made me Crap my pants!!!!! I have caught some big nice fish but this beast was bug eyed and THICK AS HEAK!! PROBLEY IN THE 9 TO 9.5 LB. RANGE. I was shocked and actually hot buck fever while I was fishing!! The bass wouldn't look at nothing except he kinds showed a bit of attention to some small bluegill near the light. Anyway keep these foments and posts Rollin so we can spread a little fun to someone else whom may need the help to actually catch a few! !!! Good fishing boys.....
