How many of you guys actually use noodles for catfishing? Made a bunch of them this week going to try out soon at lake.

About 40 years ago we used to jug a little in the very end of the black water at the ponderosa....used to camp there...set out some jugs and then fish with rods after dark.... Collect the jugs next morn early....used to get some eaters....never anything with alot of size...

I'm going to take some friends out tomorrow and try for some day light cats and hopefully some stripers. Lots of good info here. Thanks guys! If you see a white Trophy with a Bimini top, come on over and say hello!

I dont personally care mutch for it. If cant track them all down its nothign but trash floating around. I like to go to the lake and enjoy the outdoors not swim with trash and not knowing if its got hooks dangaling down under it. Had a guy throw jugs in my pond for catfish a couple of years ago. I didnt by my property to look at 2 dozen empty oil jugs floating in my pond. Just my .02

It is VA state law to keep all within site at ALL times and you are not permitted to leave them overnight. Additionally they must have reflective tape on the to aid in retrieval and not impede navigation at night. I made up a dozen or so to "play" with this year. I'll be interested to hear how you do maintenanceman as this will be my first year trying. I found a particular cove that is flat loaded with 2-5 lb channels I can't keep off the hook striper fishing so thought they might be a fun mid-day distraction while on the water. Good luck.
