Great report.. thanks for posted .. How did the stinger hooks work for u? Help much? I have never used I think because of the extra work to tie them up and I’m afraid of gut hooking fish. I only use stinger hooks if a bait is 14"+ and honestly on saturday it didnt matter if i had stinger hooks or not. those fish were hitting like a ton of bricks and not messing with the bait before hand at all. no swirls or slaps, etc. most of the time i didnt even have time see a nervous bait......just a disappearing board and a rod bowed over..... on days when the fish wont commit very hard stinger hooks can be helpful. I am always kinda worried about gut hooking a big fish tho. I got lucky that this first fish took a J hook and stinger in its mouth (not gut) and the second fish hit a 14" bait with no stinger and had no issue inhaling the fish. I honestly think it depends on the day....and if i would have continued to fish Saturday i may have removed a few stingers that werent necessary.

Nice job. Heard lots of yelling and screaming coming from the back of that creek, saw you heading out a few minutes later. I was thinking man they didn’t give that creek much of a chance. Now it all adds up. Way to go.
