I'm fairly new to planer board fishing, never been with a striper guide or anyone else using this method. It's been a learning experience for me. Using what I have learned on the forum, trial and error on my part. And like some of you guys have stated, at times out of the box thinking pays the biggest dividends. So when you're normal ways die out make changes, beating a dead horse is wasted time.

First place I used PB's was SML. I had four boards out at various depths and I noticed one was all tangled up with my artificial lure (huge swim shad)about five feet behind the board and it got slammed by a nice fish! I have very small boards and I always use fluorocarbon leaders so that may have had something to do with it also.
