Man. That fish is a cow. Great picture. That picture makes it look bigger than 20lb.

It's uplifting to feel that my reports are still appreciated rather than viewed solely as a bragging tool. I struggle with posting reports because I am not interested in bragging. The real value I gain from reports is that they drive me to keep going and to push for finding something new and interesting to share with others. Over the last year, I have felt that the "new and interesting" piece has not been there. However, the "push" aspect still remains strong. And... If you really think about it, showing the same things over and over do establish knowledge of repeatable patterns which is what we fishermen are looking for.
In short.. Thank you community of fellow fishing addicts for making us all better at whatever it is we do this for. I can't imagine living without having a passion for something.

Excellent report Yam! Very surprising to see that big fish come out of that brown water. Last spring when we had water like that it moved all the fish out of it and towards cleaner water.

Yam, I am certainly glad you realize the value of your reports to others on this forum. In no way do i see it as bragging, but a learning tool. And want to thank you and all the other members that contribute.
Shoot! I have to face the fact I need all the learning I can get ....

Awesome report!!!!
Yammy, I know you don't post reports to impress anyone, but I gotta say, with your hard work, dedication, and sheer will, you impress the heck out of me and I've been doing this a long time also. Also, always learning from your trips, weather you did good or not is a very important trait to have...... like you, I believe if you get complacent with what you are learning while you are out, you are doomed to inconsistency.....

My mentor, Anthony, says many things that stick in my head. One of them is that your memories can be your worst enemy. For me, this means that catching fish every trip in the same location essentially cuts you off from learning new things and will serve to limit your learning. No doubt Bigun... we learn more from our failures. In fact, I would go as far to say that embracing failure is necessary for growth.
