WT 64-67 degrees Clear Water Cold front moved through morning of 4/30 and back out afternoon of 5/1 AT 68 degrees Friday evening - overcast and rainy all weekend Went to fish a new area for me Sat morning - Craddock Crek area. Was loaded with 4 Mongos 6 dollar bills and various ales so I was ready for whatever the fish wanted. What I wasn't prepared for was the jinx I brought with me - I had 6 bites throughout the morning and only landed 1 26 inch fish that bit on a 9" gizzard. Broke 2 fish off in some shallows, 1 of which I think would have been a pretty good fish as he seemed to have some weight on him. Once the temperature dropped around noon the bite turned off for me and I never got another bite the rest of the day. Sunday I stayed in my in the upper BW and brought the skunk on board with me. Fished from 6:30 to about 1PM and never got a bite. Evidently all the fish wanted to be caught by striperjohn and the kids in his boat so I let them have them quick observation - I saw a guide Sat morning anchored up and fishing multiple rods in the Craddock Creek area - I am used to seeing this as the the guides where I grew up all do this (Lake Texoma) but I hadn't seen anyone on SML do this before. Not sure if it is a technique from this particular guide or something that will happen more as we move into warmer months. Just found it interesting.

Pretty common around the spawn for a few guides - Kathy, Lewis, etc.
Nice report.

One of the guides caught 68 fish from one place on the bank in Craddock last year.
