I'm new to striper fishing and was curious as to what colors/types should be used during the different seasons. I know water temperature and color vary what will be used but want to just get a general idea of where to start. Thanks

My favorite colors for top water (walk the dog type) and spoons are bone white and glow white pearl, respectively. I use crystal colored sassy shads as well with a red head 3/8 oz. hook. To keep the sassy shads swimming upright, I use a flat wire swivel that doesn't turn with a ball bearing. Then there is the thunderstick! I like silver.
With all that said, I generally don't lure fish until I see spaghetti or surface action. And frankly, I don't think color makes one bit of difference during feeding frenzies. It's all about the presentation and retrieval.
