I got the call about noon from Capt. Wendell with the offer of his alewives from his morning charter. I was grateful and began to prepare for the fishing trip. I ended up on the lake 3pm and fished until 6 pm. I went to the boardwalk and scouted and scouted without any luck. AT- 82, WT - 84.5 I then fished from 8pm-midnight around bridgewater with 4 downlines at 25-35 ft. WT - 82.4. Not a thing. I did get out and enjoyed the evening. I was also able to help a family from PA who couldn't get there boat started at the boardwalk to. Come on mongo season!! I also found a green underwater light to throw at above the bridge.

I'm very new to the lake and fishing. Wendell took me fishing back in the spring and we have been friends since. I like the pic of the fish seaJay. Is that a bay striper? I'm planning on a trip to the bay in Dec to hook up with the stripers

Yes sir , one from a December trip in 2008. Back before the omega menhaden fleet had hurt the bay. Fish like that are not as plentiful nowadays .
