I introduced my neighbor to striper fishing today. Believe he had a good time. But things sure were slow for us. It took us six hours to get him his limit. Trolling and jigging were tuff. I did see another boat catch one on a planner board though. Marked plenty of bait and not a lot more. The water looked to me like it had dropped another foot since 8/30 and i did get hung up once. We had one other fish on that came unbuttoned . I am glad he was patient. He said, he had only farm pond fished and the 24 and 25 inch stripers were his largest fish. Always nice to be out on the water with some one new to striper fishing.

He was really surprised at how hard stripers pull. And had a grin from ear to ear. Which was fun for me to watch.
