Well I realize that this is a year old tread and I am pulling it up again. But tomorrow is 8/26 and I am headed out to see if a repeat can be done. I also wasn't using Tapatalk at the time. So I will post a picture of my triple catch since things are slow .

Drag for Striper, I'm curious....
I never have caught fish on a U-rig, so did those fish put up much of a fight, or was it more of just dragging in the weight? I'm just wondering how much fight fish can put up being hooked so close together.

Ghost, it was a hoot catching three at once. But admittedly some of the fight is lost due to the fish's battle between themselves . And a big thanks to my friend Gator for sharing his knowledge with me. I feel I would not have hooked that many at once without it.

I bet that really was a blast to see that many on one rod.

Well ghost, if there is no bait .... then no stripers. Oh, I will always fish artificials. I will share an old photo of some nice fish that my buddy and I caught on artificials.... keeping In mind this was before the die off when they would have been considered average. Three citations. Now after joining this forum I would not keep such large fish. Besides I have learned over time smaller fish tastes better IMO.
