Water temp, 85.2 Couldn't see stars so it must have been cloudy Techniques, trolled down lines from 15-30 feet. I guess they are downlines. The weight is only 3/4 oz. I trolled at 0.7 mph Splashed in at 1030 pm on the 26th. Well there were 6 young kids at the public boat ramp with 3 surf boards. I asked where they would be located so I could stay away from them. They got smart with me and began to curse me. I called the sheriffs office to report the problem. Deputy showed up and told them to leave. 1130 pm I took off to catch ales. In 2 my first mate and I caught 22 in, 23 in, and two 26 inch. I wanted to keep my 10 year old safe and the kids and any other boater that might have come up on the kids on the water while it was dark. I didn't want to offend anyone. Just wanted to be safe!

Fixed the pics for you..... when pasting from Photobucket, don't paste the URL from the Photobucket webpage of the pic, or the HTML link, but rather click on the IMG link on the right-side and then paste that into your post. If you click "edit" on your post above, you can see what I replaced your links with to get the pics to work.....
I just don't understand the attitude some kids have these days..... seen it too many times. Had it been mine, I'd want you to call me and I'd go whip his ass straight away. Of course that's the problem - too many parents won't take responsibility..... Nothing wrong with what you did..... had you not seen them and hit them with the boat while they might be at fault, you have to live with it forever.......
And most importantly - great trip & report - nothing like the smiles on your little girl to say job well done!

Thanks for helping with the pics. I was just trying to message you as you were fixing my problem. The pics tell the story better then I do. I bring the fish to the boat and my kid puts it in the net. It's a team effort from the time we leave the house until we get back and clean the fish. My 13 year was with me a couple of weeks ago and she told me she loves everything about fishing. Also, what it something would have happened to the kids and I never said anything.

Heck - ya'll need to switch roles - let her fight that fish and you be the net-man...... she's more than big enough to tackle that striper
