A couple of guys at work had not done any striper fishing so I offered to taken them a few hours. I had bait left in my bait tank so we headed out after work. We set out about 6:30pm with wind whitecapping down the lake. I checked a couple of points but found no fish so I decided with little time that I would set out planers and let the wind send us along. We were using all ales and within 5 min. the outside deep planer went in reverse and fish on. First fish was about 24" and then soon after we picked up another 26" coming off a point. I could have turned around but with the wind, I knew that I would have to fight a tough battle. We picked up another 26" and then a 16". As the sun set, the wind started to slow down and we set on a point on the main channel. We had no takers so we set out some down lines and headed towards the dock. NADA I decided to give it up and head back in. I did find a lot of scattered fish between 20-30 fow. I wanted to stop a couple of times, but I knew we had to go to work this morning. As we got back to the dock about 10:00, the lake was calm and no wind. Arggggggg. (4) stripes 18" to 26" WT 58 Wind
Great evening.
