Was bass fishing today. Was up Cedar Creek around 2:00. I saw a bunch of commotion on a point. I thought someone had fell off their boat. So I sped up to the point. And my dear lord. For about 80 yards the strikers were going nuts. I bet there was at least 40 of them busting the top, tail splashing and feeding. All looked to be good fish. Couple guys from Canada threw jerk baits out and caught 2. They were both over 12 pounds. This went on for about 15 minutes. Drove up the next creek down and marked 2 giant schools of striper on the graph. Pretty amazing to me to see that frenzy. If you go all the way to the end of cedar creek and turn around to come back out, the mouth of the first cove on the left coming out was where the frenzy happened. Then the next cove on the left past it about 3/4 of the way back is where I marked the 2 giant schools. Just in case anyone is interested.

I am not real familiar with the lake guys. So yeah, I probably do have my creeks confused. Did I say Cedar creek, I meant Crotch Creek!!!!

Will gladly give the real creek where this happened, if someone can tell me how to catch a god forsaken bass in this lake!!! Well, Dewain Beaver is on the top of the board with around 6 and a half, so it will take one like this to beat it tomorrow... she went over 7 on the Bogas You tell me your secrets and I'll tell you mind You are killing me!! But I'm sure that was caught on live bait. But a beauty. Cedar creek was for sure where they were busting. And I'm talking some good sized fish. Also congrats on that rock you caught!!! Pretty impressive. It's funny I come here bass fishing and all I catch is strikers. But come striper fishing by myself and not a bite.....lol. I don't even know where to start with bass in this lake. But I enjoy being on the water here. Just wish these other bass fisherman had a little more respect for other boats. Freaking idiots. I'm sure you need no secrets. I see your reports!!!! But either way, I have no secrets....lol

Bigt - yeah - that fish ate a 8" or so gizzard (well, I guess it tried to) - was back on 4/9 I think, though we tend to catch some big girls early April every year. Released her gently after that pic. We caught a few in the 2.5 lb range today with alewifes that were 5"-6" on light-lines & downlines, typically when the line was dragging the bottom..... not sure it that might help in terms of "matching the hatch" for an artificial pattern. I was actually surprised with how tame the boat traffic was today. I mean the boats were flowing in and out of coves and creeks all day, but it didn't seem as crazy as last year - maybe being down at Parkway Marina vs. Bridgewater allowed it to spread out / fan out better than when so many where running in at Bridgewater - plus the nasty weather today keep the water for us crazy fisherman and kept the pleasure boats mostly off the lake (though I did see a few plowing their Sea Rays). Jmr04 - debating on sending that one in....... figure the bass guys wouldn't view it as legit anyway

I caught some big bass in silver creek today in my cast net. I'm sure they would have been money fish.

Ha!!! all I did was ask if he was sure about the creek. and I can't help it if I don't know much about the lake, and don't know where I am half the time. ... and it was raining,..... and foggy, ......and there may have been a forest fire somewhere, because I had smoke in my eyes too..... dang wind
