The weather was absolutely perfect! Overcast, spitting rain and threatening to open up at any time. Not a wakeboat to be seen! It never rained hard enough for me to put on my parka. The gusty wind was kind of a pain though. Fished from 9:30-4:30 OK, threw the net from 9:30 to 11:00 then went fishing. Only managed to catch 6 decent shad 12"-14". Struck out in all my usual bait spots but finally found some scattered bait in a new spot. Was worn out so once we had enough for a spread I said "screw it, lets go fishing". We tried a creek a ways south of Becky's/Betty's that had been very good the last few weeks. Had one bait get skinned but no other action. I did see some guy in there driving his boat around backwards so that was... interesting... Moved to a small cove off of the main lake and did doughnuts with constant action until we ran out of big bait. Total for the day was 4 in the boat from 24" to 34". The 24" was on a peanut, the rest were on big gizzards. We had a couple of dollar bill sized ales in the spread that got no love at all.

Haha.. That is my way to see the size of the bait with downscan and gives me time to throw at it in the front.
There were some real nice fish in there until I decided to put away the poles and throw... And I had some action on Mongos today as well.
Sorry Brian... Had I known you were coming I would have thrown elsewhere.
