I found the following fishing report posted online, and the part in "red" caught my eye. Anyone know what this guy that posted the report is referring to?? The fishing report was dated 4/15/15 www.charlietaylorfishing.com/fishing_report.htm

Eric - is this blurb from that guy that does those multi-lake reports that are full of insightful tips that seem to rarely match anything we see on the waters itself? My guess is someone does not understand the Slot regulation.... Though I'm good with his interpretation

If it's who I think, he probably meant slot fish but doesn't even fish SML so doesn't understand the regulation and is just making up the report.

His name is Charlie Taylor, and I think he is from the Richmond area. I'm not sure how much he may fish nowdays, or where, if he does. I think he gets most of his reports from other people (guides, Marinas and some actual fisherman etc). I think the accuracy of his reports, just needs to be taken with a grain of salt, and used as a general "good guess", and not the gospel

Charlie Taylor hasn't got a fish report correct since the days he fished and reported on the Potomac! He has no idea what goes on with SML and most other lakes around here. Back in the day he did good reports on the Potomac because he fished it a great deal.

I caught that too so I shot him an email. Here's his response.

Well that didn't work as planned. The response in short was at his age sometimes you jump to conclusions. He saw the Nov 1st- May 31st no striped bass 30"-40" but overlooked the 30"-40" in the statement. He should have corrected it this past week but I haven't checked.
