I was just wondering what is the average weight of a 30" fish and a 40" fish?

Vvaries a fair bit depending on time of year - if they are full of eggs, etc.... and how "fisherman friendly" your scales are Based on my catches & my Bogas, a 30" striper on SML would be roughly in the 10-13 lb range A 40" fish is going to be probably 23-28 lbs.... The 38" we caught recently (twice actually within 5 days) was 21 lbs

Hey Mike you can find the length to age to weight chart on a number of websites Striper247 is one. I thought we used to have it one here somewhere?

It was somewhere on the "old" site The issue is that chart is not accurate for SML.... I think it is more a saltwater based chart..... in general, due to our generally lower growth rates once the fish get past 3 or 4 years old, that chart would under estimate the age of SML fish based on all the aging data I've seen from Dan Wilson (derived from the oolith bones)

It pretty much matches in length and weight no idea about age.
