Got out in the cool weather and the constant wind. At about 6:00 PM the fish started swirling on every point within sight. We boated (and released) 15 in an hour and a half- throwing flukes on a 1/4 ounce jighead. Amazing how things have picked up in the last few weeks.

It really is fun- most all of them were 25-28 inches. I always enjoy this time of the year. Next up will be the midnight to dawn topwater action. After that.....I will be asking lots of questions as I try to learn how to fish with live bait in the summer. Just ordered a few planer boards. My wife wants to fish, but only in warm weather, so I will try the summer fishing. (plus it gives me more time on the water)

If I were you I would stay artificial until then as well. For me, dropping a spoon is more fun than dropping an ale in the summertime.
