Location: Fished on the main lake: Up-lake from beaver Dam. (Between Beaver dam and Linville) I think the creek is called Linville anyway. Techniques (Ran 8 rods) 6 rods with boards and two freelines (4 of lines with boards had 1/4oz weights on them) and Ran 2 free-lines off the back of the boat. (Just a bait free swimming with about 50' of line out) Water temp: 52 Weather: Cloudy mid 40's with light winds Bait: Large to Jumbo Alewives Time: Fished from 9:30am until noon Went out with my dad this morning. We headed uplake with a plan to fish the main lake points and stay out of the creeks. We started out at a spot were my dad caught fish the weekend before. As soon, we got our spread out we started marking and catching fish. We boated 8 stripers pretty fast. Most of the stripers were super small with a few that were short fatties. It was nice to have some action after the skunk on Saturday. Not one fish came off of the boards with zero weight, on it. The freelines and boards with 1/4oz weights, were the ticket. A few pics: Nice healthy fish: ~ FishON

Great report Fishon, cherish those times with dad while he's around. I miss my dad but I feel like when I'm fishin & huntin that he's still with me the most, if that makes since.

Those aren't super small... nice catching! In the main channel with these recent cold days I'm guessing the fish are holding just a bit deeper than they were. And of course the alewifes are generally going to hold a bit deeper, so that may be part of it as well..... Always smart to cover the water column till you find what they want....
