Arrived very early to catch bait near Hardy. I had no luck unless you consider bluegill good bait. Water temperature was high 40s and it was raining/drizzling. Thus I went to my creek of choice and loaded up the SBTII with a collection of Mongos and sub Mongos. This particular creek was muddy and I found that the "light" net is still deadly in muddy water. BIG T put on a nice show today as well! My plan today was to go after what I learned last week. This time I had my water wolf underwater camera ready to rock! Well.... all freaking morning long I kept missing hits! I was questioning everything. I even missed this dynamic explosion! I was getting very frustrated and kept thinking about my hook strategy. I was real close to switching to bridles (Striper John) but didn't want to change this variable too quick. And then around 4:30pm, it happened! A real hit! This 11lb 30" (FAT) fish didn't mess around...HE ATE THAT BAIT! There was no timing variable nor a chance for a miss...JUST STEP UP AND SWING!!!! And from 4:30 until dark, it was one right after the other. No breaks allowed! It was like a wild orgy that I have never had but thought about. Only this was real and when it was over...I remembered that I forgot to throw out the water wolf. NEXT TIME. I didn't break any records today in terms of size. My biggest was 32" and 12 pounds. But I did notice that I am able to handle multiple poles during a fishing melee much better than last year. Adding the challenge of not looking like an idiot when fish are attacking your adrenaline gland adds a new element to this sport. GO GET EM BOYS!

What a great feeling when the actual hook sinks into the lip and the stinger is dangling free. It just seems like more of an accomplishment!
