think the water temp is putting the fish dormant?...thinking about going this weekend but didn't want to waste my time fishing deep water...any info would be appreciated...thanks lee

Skiff, the stripers don't go dormant. As the water temps go down their metabilisim slows down and while they may not feed every day....you just have to hope they are feeding on the days you get out. Gotta be a really dedicated fisherman in February if you want to catch fish..... good luck and be safe. Looking back at my log over the years, out off the shoal below the Coast Guard looks like a good February spot to start to me. ........feb. has always been my toughest month for consistently catching fish....
