First time posting. . Want to put in at Hardy on Sunday. The question is, is it possible to get big shad this time of year? If so, am I at the wrong side of lake? I know that there are thousands of small shad at Bay Rock. Next is, is the Moorman's/clay bank/tennis court area my best bet or should I put in around the Indian Pointe/Grimes Creek area my best bet? Heard rumors of Betty's and Becky's also. Any information would be appreciated.

There is no good answer to your questions.
I doubt you will find big bait at Hardy.. But you might.
None of us know if the location you speak of is good right now...but it along with many other spots can be awesome.
If I were going fishing this Sunday I would have to find the big bait and there is a great chance I would strike out. But... Not before I checked every creek from the S turns on up to Hardy.
If I had big bait, I would then let the biggest concentrations of bait that I found while I was getting big bait tell me where to fish.

Once you come through the bridge look to the left there is part of a old boat house, might try around it, would check it with sonar first, been a while since I tried it. Falling creek where the train trussel is might be good. Any of the cliffs if the sun is out might have some bait around them. Use sonar and look for bait balls, most likely will be down not on top unless the sun is really out.

Thank you all so much for taking the time to help me out. Lot of things that I had not thought about. Will post any success, if any, on Sunday afternoon/evening.

Good luck to you and definitely tell the board what you found out.
