Micro guides are the guides on rods like Duckett MicroMagic - very small diameter line guides which supposedly give better sensitivity and longer casts by having less line slapping around the guidea when casting and then more sensitivity due to better contact of the line to the rod via the line guides.
The downside is more freezing in the winter and also the minimal space for any knot

Mr. Ward, I am taking your advice and going with the Suffix Superior. Found a 3300 yd. roll of 15lb for $40. Clear or smoke blue?? Smoke blue! Sound good!! Any reasoning, or just because it looks cool?!
