Camping with my wife at the state park. I have enjoyed catching my share of stripers at night and a few on buck tail, flukes etc. In the fall. Would love to see my wife have success for once while we were here camping. Are they hitting Bucktails at all yet, or maybe something a little deeper, silver buddy maybe? I am much more familiar with blackwater than this side. Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks

Definitely some top-water action going on in the evenings and maybe in the morning if you hit it right - don't see why a bucktail would not get them to eat when breaking or casting to points.....

I appreciate it. Gonna take a run up around standaford and maybe around 41 today. Giving them a try where I have had success in the past.

We didn't have any luck at all. Tried several points in Blackwater but didn't get a bite. Cloud cover, wind and a little light rain in fact but no luck. Marked several balls of bait with fish around them. Saw folks pulling bait in the area, which maybe me feel better about location, but no luck I'm afraid.

Sorry to hear you didn't hook up. SML Stripers can take a while to figure out - and just when you think you have they prove you wrong Hopefully it was a few nice days out on the lake at any rate - great time of year to be out there.
