Put in at Moorman's around 1:30PM thinking it would not be as muddy as Hardy. Water temp was 68 and no mud. Went above trestle and caught some peanuts(that is usually all I can catch unless something bigger wants to commit suicide). Placed them in my 20 gal trash can with aerator(see 10-12 post on bait tank search). There were 8-10 boats fishing above trestle so I headed south. Fished from Moorman's to just above Lynville using downlines in 30-40 feet. Buddy and I caught 12 or so biggest being probably 12 pounds. All released at boat except for one photo op. (Still trying to figure out how to post pics). All in all a great day to be on the water. Thanks to all who commented on bait tank search. CQ told me they are expecting some SBT soon and put me on the list. I told them to call me if SBT or EZ Flows come in. Looked at G & M tank Bentrod suggested and they look really good. Trying to get in touch with them also. Next trip Sat with nephews from out of town. Hope to put them on a few.

Are you fishing far back in the coves, near the mouth, or on the main channel. If you see a white Mako LTS with 3 guys on it, it's probably me and my two sons home for fall break. Stop and say hello. Thanks for the report. By the way, what are "peanuts"? Thanks TW

"Peanuts" are our affectionate name for juvenile gizzard shad - those in the 2-3.5" or so range. Billions of those out there right now.
