Sat. morning. Air temp at 5:30 was about 64 with rain and the water temp was about 77. Despite the rain I went down to the dock and all I could find were a lot of peanuts. Took the biggest I could find, didn’t want to go out in the rain looking for more bait. Had the wife with me so we waited until the rain passed and we gave it a try. Fished the BW outside of Gills Creek and marked scattered fish and a couple small schools but we were only able to connect on one small striper, at least we kept the skunk out which is more than I can say for Sunday morning. Set out the down lines and free lines and the only fish came off the down line about 30 feet down in 100 FOW. Saw several other boats but they weren’t doing much more than we were. Sunday was more of the same minus the rain. I haven’t been out since early July so it was good to be on the water again. Looking forward to October.

I fished sat as well! I fished just inside of gills and landed two dinks and one 23" Didn't fish deep water because I was without F.F. never fished over 50ft. But used down&light lines at 20ft! One channel to boot and a net full of green carp!
