Guys I am here at the lake pre annual trip. I normally come later in august with the family and stay with my folks for a summer vacation.
My son was invited to a baseball tournament this weekend at Wake Forest so we brought him a buddy and our exchange student back for a few days at the lake.
I normally put in the time and do my own research so to speak but looking for some help here as I am very limited on time
I know where I want to go but what time of day has been the most productive this time of year?
I just want to help the kids that are not normally with us put some fish in the boat
Thanx in advance

Right now...early morning has been key for me. Say 5am-10amish..the bite dies off pretty quick thereafter.

Thanx Piper, That was our plan but may try the 6pm-9pm that works for me later in August as well.
Just did not want to miss a mid day if there was one for some strange reason.

Evening can be good as well as the boat traffic dies. We caught fish both this morning and this evening.

Dave Best time to fish is when you can!! Don't think you can't catch em mid day. Just takes some fishing and you can get em to the boat.
