I received the 2013 Size & Catch-rate data from Dan Wilson today - the 2013 data is pretty much exclusively from Angler submitted data (fishing logs, fish heads, etc) as they did not do gill-netting in 2013 due to man-power constraints. SML Tables AD 2013AA.pdf (193.47 KB) SML Tables AD 2013B.pdf (86.32 KB) Please log & then submit your fish diaries at the end of 2014 - good to see a couple more diaries submitted in 2013 - but wish we could see 100 or 200 or more vs 30. Also, you have to realize there is almost certainly a skew to the data in things like catch/release or other in that the folks that submit diaries are taking the time to do so, and likely more focused on overall preservation of the fishery than others.... and I'm sure someone keeping more than their limit won't log that But, at least it is reasonably consistent data which provides some trending info.

Thanks Mike. Interesting info from Dan. We seem to face new challenges and still have a ways to go to get this lake back to the "trophy striper" targets established after the fish die off 12 years ago. Hard to believe it has been that long.
Have a safe and happy 4th weekend and I'll turn my light back on for you starting tonight.
