Put in a little after 4. Water temp about 58. No luck with bait until 5:30 or so..They were scattered until then for some reason...then big schools. Netted a bunch of ales again, pulled the same creek. Caught 1 striper..27" and about 8lbs on my digi scale..missed 2 more pull downs...Caught 1 largemouth about 2 lbs..All on light lines and planers. Decided to throw on a random school before packing up..low and behold I nailed 5 mongos and a baby striper...what are they doing together?

Obviously the baby Striper was hungry Ha..I was thinking he was lonely or the ugly duckling...just trying to fit in

Cant wait to use those mongos today...Ive never used shad this big...time to learn

No takers on the mongos...not even a sniff or tug...did catch quite a few on ales though..missed a few others..i have learned trying to run planers solo is a royal pita!

I agree with you on the planers! They catch fish, but man they can be frustrating to deal with!
