Any of the above. No joke. Fish are spread out. You can fish Lynville to Hardy, fish the creeks, whatever..there's fish spread all over now. Keep the boat moving if you're not on them and you'll run into some whether casting or pulling boards. I'm not sure about alewives or small bait, but I know shad 8" and up are being gobbled up by 10+lbers.

I agree with Bentrod. The schools are few and far between and either plan on searching and luck to find the mother load or just simply find the bait and pull points and good looking banks.
You might consider a mobile strategy if you really need to catch fish. This would mean drop a few boards and be ready to move. Otherwise..find a good creek and pull the whole thing with a book and a beer.
The birds are still good for finding bait but don't get too excited if they are swarming. I caught most of my fish yesterday close to birds. No doubt if they are sitting on the water in a creek..then they..like fishermen have seen something that keeps them there.
Finally..make sure you slow way down when you see others fishing a creek. I must say that I have witnessed many courteous fishermen on SML and I myself need to work on being more courteous. Adrenaline and empathy are sometimes hard to balance.

Not sure what those dang, good for nothing seagulls are still doing hanging around - crazy - end of March and they are still here..... Saw some on Sat and Sun and was surprised.... of course, it snowed last Tue and spitted some snow on Sunday, so.......

Yep, while fighting 3 footers and 40 mph gusts, we also felt the beautiful sting of ice pellets on Sunday and learned that big fish hit mongos at 40 feet. Additionally, it was a glorious day to have an eagle grab your bait from a striper in white caps. I truly believe that nature erupts when the people hunker down in their caves!
